Patanjali's Yoga Sutra is a historical article

The Yoga Sutra of Patanjali is a historical book.

The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali is a book of 195 different phrases that is easy to remember.  Because it is a work that is a part of modern yoga in every way because it was a part of the birth of yoga, this particular book is given great importance in the world of yoga.

   Some background

The origin of Patanjali's Yoga Sutras is the subject of some debate among both historians and analysts.  For example, there are some people who write this sutra in a grammar called Patanjali.  Later, however, the creation of a timeline indicated that was unlikely.  Within the yoga community, however, many say that Patanjali was really just a compiler and that before the work was written, the sutras were only memorized and passed between teacher and student.  However, this text was produced about the second century BCE.

The text is named using Sanskrit words: Yoga, which you are probably aware of, is the unity in which you are able to absorb feelings and thoughts alike.  The sutra literally means "thread."  This thread is basically the relationship between the formula in the task.  Actually, some people call the Patanjali Sutra as Yoga in English.  This is not completely wrong.

        Understanding the text

The division into text is divided into four books.  One of the fifty sutras is contained in a book called Samadhi Chhanda, 75 of them are in Sadhana verse, 75 are also in Vibhakti verse, and fourteen of the Sutras can be found in poetry.

There are sutras in the book Samadhi which are considered to be the most fundamental for yoga.  It claims to be about Yogil and his ability to keep his feelings and thoughts.  Many of the most famous yoga sutras come from this particular book.

In Sadhana Paad, there is much about practice since the Sanskrit word "Sadhana", which actually means practice.  This is the chapter where the eight parts of Kriya Yoga and Yoga appear for the first time.  These aspects reflect the idea that yoga is both selfless and spiritual.

Finally, the term Kaivalya means, again in Sanskrit, "sit".  What this book is really about, however, according to the principles set within it, is attaining liberation.  Yoga teaches oneself to be centered and achieve a higher level of consciousness, and this book uses the 34 Sutra to advance thought.
