Do you have trouble sleeping?

If you are having trouble sleeping, and you do not already have a regular exercise program, you should make a start if you want to sleep better.  Exercise is beneficial in many ways.

For example, exercise increases the rhythm of body temperature and allows your body temperature to be elevated to 'extreme'.  This, in turn, increases your energy level during the day, so you will feel more motivated and alive.  And just as the body temperature reaches the maximum at a higher level through exercise, the body temperature will also fall more easily.  This allows you to sleep more deeply without interruptions.

A regular exercise routine prevents the rhythm of your body temperature from remaining relatively throughout the day.  With the rhythm of a suitable body temperature, you will find that you can get a sound sleep, even if you have taken a stressful day or cannot perform your regular exercise on a certain day.  Exercise also prevents a drop in body temperature in the evening, and this delay makes you wake up or feel tired for a long time, without feeling lethargic or tired.  And, as everyone knows, exercise is a great stress preventer, and stress is one of the main reasons for the development of sleep disorders.

If you don't already have an exercise program, you should really consider starting one immediately.  The best time to exercise is in the morning as it encourages a rapid rise in temperature.  You should avoid exercising for three hours before going to sleep, as your body temperature will still be rising, and you may be able to sleep deeply to fall asleep or become more difficult.

You do not need to run properly and join the gym to do regular exercise.  By taking less dramatic actions it is possible to reap the benefits from its effect on your body temperature.  Research shows that moderate exercise during the day has many health benefits.  If you cannot get motivated to exercise regularly, you should enjoy less intense, but physical, activity several times per week.  Activities may include taking a brisk walk, going for a bike ride, or rollerblading.  All these activities will have a significant effect on your body temperature and its rhythm will be encouraged to function at beneficial levels.
